About the Firm Schwaben Capital Group Ltd. is a boutique investment management and wealth management firm in Toronto. The firm has been established for over 16 years, with its partners holding a combined experience of 50 years. Schwaben’s core approach focuses on managing portfolios for high-net-worth clients and delivering a highly personalized level of service to their clients. Role Overview This is an entry-level role. Starting salary commensurate with experience plus bonus based on personal and company performance. As a Investment Analyst / Portfolio Administrator, you will support the President in managing the day-to-day tasks and operations required to run the firm. This role will offer you broad exposure to different areas of financial services and will reward you for your efforts to grow the business. At Schwaben Capital you will be responsible for: Helping clients solve their problems by responding to their requests and queries regarding their financial accounts Ensuring recurring reporting is conducted on a quarterly and annual basis Ensuring client accounts have been allocated properly to execute recurring transfers and fee payments Coordinate with back office and custodians for on-going administration as well as open and modify new accounts Assisting with portfolio management, including financial planning, investment research, trading, and rebalancing. Assisting in business development activities: Marketing, and social media analytics, downloading lead information and data, conducting and follow-up on surveys, Webinar presentation preparation. Candidates will be required to have: Undergraduate degree related to business/finance, computer science, engineering, or Information Technology Enrolled in the CFA program Excellent ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Experience using Facebook and LinkedIn and other social media platforms Interest in the investment advisory business and financial services Drive to seek out solutions to problems on their own The following assets are nice to have: Experience in the financial services or sales sector Experience with corporate Facebook and LinkedIn accounts Prior development of social media strategies or running influencer accounts Basic understanding of the Python programming language Entrepreneurial spirit Data, process, and web-oriented programming would be highly beneficial Experience with CRM applications. Zoho One experience is of great benefit AI experience for research and analysis Notes This position is an salaried position with the opportunity for performance-based bonuses and monetary incentives for business generation. This is not a remote role, and the successful candidate will be required to work at the office. The position can lead to a more senior role and for the right candidate to be a partner in the business. Additional bonuses can be earned through business development and/or support thereof.
