Our client, an established and growing organization within the insurance and financial services industry, is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious accounting or finance professional who is looking to take ownership of reporting and analysis responsibilities while gaining exposure to a dynamic, growth-oriented business. The successful candidate will play a key role in monthly financial reporting, business analysis, commission calculations, and process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Calculate and reconcile commission payments for advisors and sales teams Develop, maintain, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) Assist with regulatory reporting requirements and tax filings Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and internal controls Participate in finance transformation, automation, and reporting enhancement initiatives Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and operations to provide meaningful business insights Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline 2+ years of progressive accounting, financial analysis, or reporting experience Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles Experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting packages Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of key deliverables Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience within the insurance, wealth management, banking, or broader financial services industry Exposure to commissions accounting or sales compensation calculations Experience with financial reporting systems, BI tools, Power BI, or automation initiatives CPA designation in progress or a demonstrated interest in pursuing the CPA path Why Join?
