Company Description Pawsitive Match Rescue Foundation is a registered Canadian charity and not-for-profit animal rescue based in Calgary, Alberta. The organization is run independently by a dedicated team of volunteers who work to save dogs and cats from life-threatening situations and provide them with a second chance at life. The Treasurer assists with budgeting and forecasting, ensures compliance with relevant charitable and regulatory requirements, and supports the preparation of documents for audits and annual filings. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in bookkeeping, financial record-keeping, and basic accounting principles. Experience with budgeting, cash flow management, and financial reporting for nonprofits or small organizations. Comfort with accounting software, spreadsheets, and digital tools used for financial tracking and documentation. Knowledge of charitable regulations, compliance requirements, and financial best practices for registered charities in Canada (or willingness to learn). Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines and reporting cycles. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with a volunteer board and community partners. Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and commitment to ethical financial stewardship. Interest in animal welfare and alignment with the mission of rescuing and rehoming animals. Previous experience in a Treasurer, finance, or nonprofit governance role is an asset.
