Job summary

In partnership with Opal Corporate Connections, our client is looking for an accomplished Financial Planner to serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth families. This client-facing role is focused on delivering personalized, tax-efficient financial strategies that support wealth preservation, growth, and generational transfer. You will work closely with clients and their broader advisory teams to provide clear guidance, build long-term relationships, and deliver an exceptional client experience in a dynamic, market-driven environment. Provide comprehensive financial planning services to high-net-worth families, focusing on tax optimization, estate planning, and wealth transfer strategies. Key Responsibilities Develop comprehensive financial plans for high-net-worth families Bringing in new business Coordinate with tax advisors and estate planning attorneys Implement tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies Conduct retirement and education funding analyses Review and optimize insurance and risk management strategies Present complex financial strategies to clients in clear, actionable terms Requirements CFP designation or equivalent financial planning certification Brining a portfolio of over 10 million would be a strong asset as there is no existing book This is a heavy business development role Minimum 5 years of financial planning experience Experience with high-net-worth clients and complex planning scenarios Strong knowledge of Canadian tax law and estate planning Excellent presentation and client relationship skills Proficiency with financial planning software and tools Benefits - 100% remote, with a downtown Toronto office available if you prefer to work on-site. - Benefits start on day one. - Compensation is flexible: you can choose a higher-percentage, 100% commission structure or a base salary plus a smaller commission. - Tons of room for growth.
