About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team! In this role, you will provide specialized expertise in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance, helping to develop and enhance accounting systems while addressing complex financial challenges. You will support the accounting function at the OCS by managing transaction processing and reporting activities related to inventory, licensed producers (LPs), vendor reconciliations, and risk management. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for executing day-to-day general ledger accounting, performing reconciliations, supporting month-end close activities, and delivering financial analysis focused on inventory. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, Merchandising, and Supply Chain to ensure the accurate and timely processing of inventory transactions. About Your Day Identify process improvement opportunities and enhance existing accounting procedures and controls. Support period-end activities, including financial reporting, inventory reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis. Manage inventory accounting by reviewing daily activity, performing variance analysis, validating transactions, and coordinating with DC, IT, and Supply Chain to resolve discrepancies. Lead vendor-related processes, including reconciliations, chargebacks, AR recovery, and dispute resolution, while partnering with vendors and internal teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Retail, IT, Treasury, and AP to improve processes, manage inventory movements, and support vendor transactions. Develop financial models, KPIs, and reporting (weekly/monthly) to support analysis, cost of sales insights, and management presentations. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations, including supporting internal and external audits. Oversee tax-related activities such as HST reporting, reconciliation, and submissions. Prepare ad hoc analysis, reports, and documentation, maintaining accurate records and supporting data extraction from Microsoft Dynamics 365. About You Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting, or a related field 4+ years of experience in finance or accounting Experience with inventory accounting; Microsoft Dynamics is an asset Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA) Strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and understanding of IFRS Advanced Excel skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills High level of integrity and accountability Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment About the Job Location: Toronto, ON near York Mills and Yonge Street Hours of Work: 36.25 a week Employment Type: 12 Month Contract Full-Time Required Travel: Rare, usually within the GTA Compensation The target hiring range for this position is $81,000- $91,000. This is a pay grade 6 role, with a salary range of $71,777.30- $107,379.81. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
