Job summary

Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Analyst for our Accounting team. The open to candidates in Toronto. The position reports directly to the Manager of Accounting. They will have the opportunity to engage with a talented team and gain valuable experience. The incumbent will ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness of information processed in our accounting system and have the skills to lead and encourage individuals within the department. Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate experience. Responsibilities Perform periodic analysis of results to identify and resolve variances between accruals and payments Review and reconcile periodic payments from various programs and assist in reporting results Review and analyze annual and mid-year physical inventory counts, ensuring accurate valuation Support period-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries Maintain and strengthen internal controls and processes to ensure the integrity of financial reporting Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to streamline accounting and reporting procedures Participating, supporting, and driving corporate wide financial priorities & initiatives Prepare ad hoc reporting and financial analyses to support management decision-making Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills • Bachelor of Commerce degree with finance and/or accounting specialization • 5+ years of experience as a financial analyst/accountant • Excellent organization and communication skills • Strong attention to detail and deadline oriented • Strong knowledge of business fundamentals and financial acumen • Ability to think strategically and strong skills to drive business initiatives end to end and deliver insights • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, evolving environment • Advanced Microsoft Office, Power Point and Excel skills, including Pivot tables, lookups, sumifs, etc. • Experience in the following systems considered to be an asset: Blackline Reconciliation, Business Central and Microstrategy BI • Experience in multi-location and/or retail business environment considered to be an asset Neighbourly Pharmacy is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements

Requires a Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance or accounting and over 5 years of experience as a financial analyst or accountant. Proficiency in advanced Excel and experience with retail or multi-location business environments is preferred.
