Job summary
Neighbourly Pharmacy is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Analyst for our Corporate Accounting team. The position is fully remote and open to candidates in either Winnipeg or Toronto. The position reports directly to the Manager of Accounting. They will have the opportunity to engage with a talented team and gain valuable experience. The incumbent will ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness of information processed in our accounting system and have the skills to lead and encourage individuals within the department. Responsibilities Perform periodic analysis of results to identify and resolve variances between accruals and payments Review and reconcile periodic payments from various programs and assist in reporting results Review and analyze annual and mid-year physical inventory counts, ensuring accurate valuation Support period-end and quarter-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries Maintain and strengthen internal controls and processes to ensure the integrity of financial reporting Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to streamline accounting and reporting procedures Participating, supporting, and driving corporate wide financial priorities & initiatives Prepare ad hoc reporting and financial analyses to support management decision-making Other duties as assigned Qualifications & Skills Bachelor of Commerce degree with finance and/or accounting specialization 3+ years of experience in accounting Strong interpersonal and communications skills both oral and written Adaptable to changing processes, competing deadlines, and fast-paced environments Highly organized and manages their own and others’ tasks with ease Mindset of continuous improvement Experience with sales margin and analysis Advanced Microsoft Office, Power Point and Excel skills, including Pivot tables, lookups, sumifs, etc. Experience in the following systems considered to be an asset: Business Central and Microstrategy BI Experience in multi-location and/or retail business environment considered to be an asset Neighbourly Pharmacy is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree in finance or accounting and possess over 3 years of accounting experience. Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and experience in retail or multi-location environments is highly valued.
