Morison Insurance is currently seeking a Personal Lines Underwriter to join our team of insurance professionals! Position Responsibilities The Personal Lines Underwriter will support our Personal Lines Client Account Managers by completing the following tasks: Upload insurance applications on various company portals Submitting Letter of Authorizations to companies for processing Processing insurance policy changes on various company portals Checking new business/policy changes/cancellations for accuracy Work from a queue, completing activities in our Broker management system Processing manual renewals and invoices for non-download policies Follow-up on Expiry Reports with company on pending renewals Calls to company for Underwriting follow-up/questions as required Split Accounts/Move Policies within our broker management system Inactivate Client Accounts in our Broker management system Handling ‘mail’ activities within Epic as entered by reception Month End Reports; review and correct as required What We Offer Competitive salary RRSP Matching Plan Group Benefits Plan (health, dental, vision) Employee Assistance Program 4-weeks of vacation Paid personal days and extra days off at Christmas Monday to Friday work schedule – 8:30 am - 4:30pm Growing insurance brokerage with access to many markets Continuing Education Modern offices and technology that supports teamwork, skills development and collaboration Our offices close early on Fridays of long weekends from May to October Full commission on employee home and auto policies Skills You Will Need To Succeed Solid understanding of various insurance companies and their underwriting rules Strong organizational skills Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment Quick learner Willing to obtain RIBO License 2 years Personal Lines insurance education and/or underwriting experience Experience using Applied Epic is an asset Experience using Compu-Quote and various insurance company portals is an asset Additional industry designations, such as RIBO, CAIB, or CIP is an asset How We Help You Succeed Your success matters greatly to us. Requirements

Candidates should have a solid understanding of insurance underwriting rules and possess strong organizational skills. A minimum of 2 years of personal lines insurance education or underwriting experience is preferred, along with a willingness to obtain a RIBO License.
