To succeed, you’ll need: Deep underwriting capability and the credibility to review files across multiple jurisdictions Understanding business cashflow statements and underwriting in the jurisdictions we’re live to Sound commercial judgement combined with a lender's instinct for risk Resilience and composure in a high-standards, fast-moving environment THE ROLE We’re looking for a sharp, decisive Senior Underwriter to take ownership of credit decisions across our deal flow. You’ll assess risk, structure approvals, and work closely with our network of brokers and service providers to approve good deals fast — and stop bad ones faster. This is a high-impact role where commercial instinct, precision, and pace are essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead underwriting and deal sign off on deals up to £1,000,000 (GBP), $1.5M (AUD) and $1M (CANADIAN) Analyse presented financials, bank data, and open banking feeds to assess creditworthiness as well as recommendations from our network of service providers Apply credit risk policies while spotting smart exceptions Structure offers that balance speed, risk, and commercial value Escalate and advise on edge cases and complex scenarios Ensure underwriting documentation and CRM accuracy is kept up to date by service providers Coach junior underwriters and support continuous credit policy refinement What we’re looking for Highly organised — nothing gets missed, nothing gets dropped Thrives in fast-paced environments with multiple moving parts Clear, professional communicator with a commercial edge Self-starter who stays aligned with team goals Bonus: Experience in unsecured, short term SME underwriting in a number of markets Our Offer?
