Kitchener Executive Consultants Inc. has partnered with a manufacturer and distributor of industry leading agricultural products, servicing the Dairy Industry, in their search to add the talents of a strong Plant Controller. The Plant Controller will be responsible for leading the financial operations of the manufacturing business, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, inventory valuation, financial reporting, and operational performance analysis. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, the Plant Controller will help drive financial accountability, improve cost efficiency, and provide strategic insights that support informed business decision-making. This role will also partner closely with corporate finance to ensure strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and effective financial processes across the organization. The Plant Controller will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities while analyzing performance variances and identifying trends that influence operational and financial outcomes. This role requires a hands-on leader who can confidently manage budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor manufacturing costs, and develop practical recommendations that improve profitability and operational performance. This role will also contribute to commercial analytics by translating costing and product profitability information into actionable pricing strategies and margin optimization initiatives. Our Client is seeking a collaborative and influential finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is comfortable leading through change. The successful candidate will bring strong experience in cost accounting, inventory management, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement while building trust and credibility across operations, sales, and leadership teams. This role requires the ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational support while mentoring and supporting finance team members. Qualified candidates will possess a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline along with a CPA or equivalent professional designation. Candidates must demonstrate progressive experience within manufacturing finance or accounting environments, including leadership responsibilities. Experience with ERP systems, advanced Excel capabilities, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and inventory controls is essential.
