Senior Financial Analyst (Contract) Position Summary We are currently accepting applications for a Senior Financial Analyst for upcoming contract opportunities with our clients. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting strategic decision-making through financial planning, analysis, reporting, and business partnering. This role provides insights into financial performance, identifies trends and risks, supports budgeting and forecasting processes, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis Lead the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range financial plans. Analyze financial results, identify variances, and provide actionable recommendations to management. Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and investment decisions. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide timely reporting on business performance. Financial Reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior leadership. Perform detailed analysis of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and operational metrics. Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial reviews. Assist with the preparation of management discussion materials and executive presentations. Business Partnership Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business drivers and support operational decision-making. Provide financial guidance on projects, capital investments, and business initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational efficiency, and financial controls. Process Improvement & Systems Drive process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity. Develop automated reporting tools and dashboards using Power BI. Compliance & Controls Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and financial reporting standards. Support internal and external audit requirements. Assist with the development and documentation of financial processes and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA designation (or CPA Candidate nearing completion) preferred. 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, financial reporting, or accounting. Strong knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and financial reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Yardi, Workday, or similar ERP platforms). Experience with financial modeling, data analysis, and business intelligence tools is an asset.
