The bigger picture

We’re looking for a creative, adaptable, problem solver to come on board as a Risk Advisory Specialist on a 16-month contract. The successful candidate will help to balance risk and member service by providing recommendations and advice to our members through various mediums. We provide support in matters relating to legislation, corporate insurance, and processes through email, voice, yammer, news items, recording, and procedures. Candidates must be within commuting distance of a Conexus location.

How you’ll be spending your time

  • Delivering operating policy and procedure (focus on retail-driven) management for Conexus (e.g. research, recommend options, create, maintain, coordinate testing, publish) to meet organizational needs and ensure legislation, regulations, and standards of sound business practices are incorporated.
  • Administering forms management for the organization, as well as, creation and maintenance of non-lending forms (e.g. content requirements, creation, adjustment if third-party provided, review, development and testing in software programs).
  • Maintaining the writing standards and the format of all procedures at Conexus.
  • Contribute to a world-class experience for members by providing employees with accurate and comprehensive policies and procedures to follow.
  • Supporting employees in effectively performing their duties by providing a second level of support and expertise (e.g. research, analyze, and solve problems; provide support and expertise on complex issues including the power of attorney, Anti-Money Laundering, compliance, business registration and attestation to meet provincial and federal legislation).
  • Supporting internal teams in their responsibilities through the provision of procedure creation and maintenance and assistance in the roll-out.
  • Ensuring organizational awareness of and accessibility to policies and procedures through management of internal platforms.
  • Supporting the formulation and implementation of policy and procedures for the risk management framework ensuring incorporation of risk management practices and controls
  • As registered products subject matter expert, manage the compliance of registered products (procedures, forms, reporting, system changes).
  • Supporting the management of enterprise risk (e.g. administering /managing the corporate insurance program; collecting, researching, identifying and compiling data for ERM reporting; providing input to authorization limit proposals and decisions, monitoring third party card risk bulletins).
