Specific accountabilities

Reporting to the Advisor, Cash Management, the incumbent works closely with other members of the Cash Management Department on daily treasury operations. More specifically, the incumbent leverages his or her expertise and skills to ensure the settlement and processing of back-office treasury transactions and oversees compliance of cash management operations.

Main duties include the following:

  • Coordinate confirmations and instructions related to treasury transactions with various counterparties, specifically those involving foreign exchange, derivatives and loans;
  • Validate and document transaction- and execution-related details;
  • Ensure optimal follow-up and documentation with respect to transaction settlements;
  • Help ensure that the electronic tools needed to fulfill designated duties (FinlogiK, GTreasury, banking platforms, databases, etc.) are running properly;
  • Ensure the integrity of transaction-related accounting entries;
  • Serve as the main point of contact for counterparties as regards back-office treasury transactions;
  • Work closely with the Coordinator, Cash Management, to manage bank accounts;
  • Ensure compliance of banking access and delegation procedures; review and analyze these procedures on a regular basis;
  • Analyze and check interest payable and receivable related to cash management and arrange any necessary adjustments in conjunction with the counterparty;
  • Ensure adherence to all provisions of applicable policies and procedures, making adjustments as required;
  • Contribute to special projects and other cash management operations as needed;
  • Carry out related tasks and duties commensurate with the position.

Key requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or any combination of education and experience deemed relevant;
  • Four or more years of experience in a corporate treasury or banking department, or another similar position;
  • Ability to function effectively in a highly computerized environment;
  • Commitment to the optimal use of information technology and best business practices;
  • Highly methodical and detail-oriented;
  • Self-starter; comfortable working independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills;
  • Ability to handle tight deadlines and deal with occasional pressure;
  • Strong ability to communicate professionally in both written and spoken French and English.
