Specific accountabilities

Main responsibilities include:

Joint Venture (JV) Partners:

  • Review, analysis, and distribution of Monthly Management Reports.
  • Coordination of and preparation for bi-annual JV meetings and minutes along with monthly co-owner update meetings.
  • Act as liaison with JV partner and internal stakeholders.
  • Secure co-owner approvals on lease deals and unbudgeted expenditures. Secure operational funds from JV partners as required.
  • Maintain external co-owner extranet.
  • Act as co-owner representative for ongoing development projects.

Internal Support:

  • Along with Finance, coordinate and participate in yearly budget process for the Retail portfolio including review and analysis around Leasing Activity, Occupancy, Sales and Capital Expenditures.
  • Participate in monthly/quarterly/annual analysis and review of business and reporting data.
  • Provide back-up support for operational reporting including sales, traffic, leasing activity and occupancy.
  • Provide support for implementation of new Leasing software replacement tool.
  • Analyze and compile all KPI ad hoc requests for Senior Management for the Retail portfolio. Provide conclusions and analysis and present findings in a way that is appropriate for the audience.

Key requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, administration, real estate or accounting;
  • 2 to 4 years of analyst experience, experience managing projects with strict deadlines independently;
  • Logical, quick-thinking and able to identify and analyze problems in a timely manner;
  • Highly organized and able to handle several projects simultaneously;
  • Comfortable meeting and dealing with internal stakeholder at various levels of management in a professional and diplomatic manner;
  • Able to work independently in an agile environment and as a part of a cross-Canada team;
  • Able to communicate and present information to facilitate strategic direction;
  • High level proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint;
  • Familiarity with Oracle Primavera and JDE preferred;
