Department : Financial Planning & Analysis

Position type : 12-month contract

Specific accountabilities

Reporting to the Director, Budgets and Analysis, you will support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group with various ongoing reporting requirements and initiatives:

Monthly/Quarterly Reporting 

  • Generate consolidated results to be communicated to the Vice President, Finance;
  • Calculate EBITDA and other performance variance explanations;
  • Support to accounting team around various excel tools;
  • Capex forecasts – assist in coordination and validation with operations and asset management;
  • Forecast EBITDA - compile, monitor and assist in coordination of information with various groups (operations, leasing, asset management).

Rent Relief 

  • Under the supervision of the Senior Analyst, document and model rent relief requests and prepare tenant financial statement analysis where required;
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on rent relief request.

Budget 

  • Super User for budget compilation within internal system/models;
  • Generating required reporting and analysis.

Projects 

  • Assist in data compilation and testing around various IT projects and reporting initiatives in excel (pivot tables) Microsoft Power BI.

General 

  • Support with ad-hoc requests around tenant exposure, asset performance and other.

Key requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and CPA (CA, CMA or CGA) designation completed or underway;
  • Relevant experience, ideally in regard to budget preparation process;
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills;
  • Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, financial modelling);
  • Power BI (asset);
  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written);
  • Attention to detail, strong sense of data controls;
  • Ability to work autonomously within team setting.
