The Director, Operations Support (Commercial Financing) assumes the leadership of the loan review team of the Regional Network and Operations Support of the Vice President Risk Management and the lines of credit. Private Placement. The Director will conduct a review to assess the extent of the scope of compliance activities to pursue sound risk management across all of the Company's business activities. He will also be responsible for developing and maintaining the policies, guidelines, business rules, procedures and guidelines of the Vice President of Risk Management and Business Lines of the Private Placement. In this regard, he will be responsible for setting up a governance table. In addition, he will play a key role in communication, training and user support.

He will also be called upon to institutionalize and establish a mature process of continuous improvement at the Vice Presidency of Risk Management, including credit authorization activities.

Main responsibilities:

Conformity :

Conduct independent and objective reviews of compliance with licensing policies, directives and procedures performed under the authority limit delegated to the regional network. Prepare analysis reports presenting findings and recommendations from independent reviews. Submit these reports and discuss the results with the management team. Follow up on the implementation of the recommendations for each of the regional offices. Identify the flaws in the credit process and practices and recommend / implement the changes required to mitigate them.


Management Manual: Ensure the update of the policies and directives of the Vice Presidency of Risk Management. Ensure the development and updating of the documentation of the Private Placement business lines. Answering questions about the documentation in the management manual made by third parties (for example: external auditor, VGQ, etc.).

IQpedia: Set up the IQpedia governance table. Ensure the development and updating of business rules and credit guidelines. Ensure consistency of business rules, guidelines and procedures. Ensure the application of the standards (uniformity, quality, terminology, document structure). Ensure the longevity of IQpedia. Coordinate updating information both in the management manual and IQpedia. Respond to queries made by third parties (eg external auditor, VGQ, etc.).

Continuous improvement :

Co-lead the Credit Enhancement Continuous Improvement Program (PACEC). Institutionalize PACEC and establish a mature process of continuous improvement.

Communication / Training / Support:

Providing communication, training and support to users regarding policy changes / introductions, directives of the Vice Presidency of Risk Management and Private Placement business lines (for example: the major accounts and the capital of risk and investment funds).

Specific qualifications required:

  • Have an undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, commerce or equivalent.
  • A graduate degree is an asset.
  • Possess 7 to 10 years of relevant experience and have an equivalent position in a company.
  • Possession of a relevant professional title is desirable (CFA, CPA or others).
