Specific accountabilities

Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis, the incumbent works closely with the main groups and business units and is responsible for the management and expansion of the financial planning process (short- and long-term) and related strategic analyses. He or she also oversees the implementation of the budget cycle and production and proper communication of management reports and acts as a financial partner for the managers of designated departments and business units. The incumbent actively contributes to automating and improving financial planning and analysis processes and related information tools. He or she favours a collaborative approach with co-workers and puts his or her communication and financial analysis skills to use in support of the objectives set by the group and the Company.

  • Coordinate quarterly and annual processes for analyzing and forecasting the Company's financial performance and assist designated business units and departments. Analyze, assess and summarize financial information. Help prepare corporate presentations for the executive team and various committees (e.g., audit committee, Board of Directors);
  • Work closely with the Company's stakeholders and majority shareholder to coordinate, prepare and control the quality of various quarterly, semi-annual and annual analyses of financial management information;
  • Help update, implement and improve financial systems to accelerate the processing of financial management data;
  • Develop, propose and help refine/implement new value-added reports, analyses and indicators to monitor financial performance in line with the Company's strategic priorities;
  • Propose and help implement improvements to streamline existing processing and increase group agility with the goal of creating value;
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports as needed.

Key requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting;
  • CPA designation;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, including three years managing real estate budgets;
  • Experience with financial information and working in a planning and financial analysis group;
  • Critical thinker with strong analytical and processing skills;
  • Ability to innovate and express ideas to drive value creation;
  • Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Results-focused and able to multitask and meet deadlines;
  • Ability to perform in a rapidly changing, high-pressure environment;
  • Independent self-starter;
  • Interest and proficiency in using modern technological tools for performance management;
  • Knowledge of office software, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Power BI; familiarity with JD Edwards an asset;
  • Fluency in written and spoken French and English.
