General responsibilities of the position :

The FP&A candidate will be responsible for consolidating the planning, forecasting and comparison of financial activity for the Engineering and Development spend. He will also be supporting the Executive Business Team, the Finance Engineering Team (including 4 managers), Strategic Planning, P&WC (Canada) & PWA (Harford) FP&A. Prepare, consolidate, analyze and document the financial data used to summarize and measure status, identify variances and predict results.

Specific responsibilities of position :

  • Consolidate program engine families & cost structure (Labour, Overhead and Support) expenditures
  • Prepare month-end closing (over 6 days) including presentation of financial results to the finance team
  • Forecast & analyze variance of financial results on a weekly basis for month and quarter periods
  • Forecast & analyze variance of financial results on a monthly basis for month, quarter & full year periods
  • Prepare & consolidate annual/5 & 10 year plan budgets
  • Prepare monthly reporting package for the Executive Business Team
  • Responsible for the resource planning comparing program engine demand hours vs headcount capacity hours
  • Support ad hoc requests.

Qualifications required :

  • Bachelor degree with 6 to 10 years' experience including a minimum of 3 years in an FP&A role.
  • CPA title mandatory (with experience minimum 5 years);
  • Comfortable working with multiple IT plateforms (10% of job): Excel is mandatory, Business Warehouse / eVision, HFM, SAP are strong assets;
  • Outstanding communication skills in English (oral and in writing mandatory) and proficient in French (asset); 
  • Ability to sustain a high level of pressure in a fast paced environment; 
  • Curious, autonomous, positive attitude;
  • Flexibility regarding working hours is needed;
  • Possibility of working from home once or twice a week.
