Hardt provides solutions to the supermarket and warehouse club industry, and is the exclusive supplier of rotisseries and heated display cases to over 90% of the warehouse clubs in the US.  The Company is actively customer-driven as indicated by its mission to provide "Responsive, Reliable Solutions."  Hardt's value-added services include product development and assistance in all aspects of food preparation including; staff training, safe food-handling practices, menu development and merchandising. Controller

The Controller is responsible to provide leadership and coordination of Hardt's Finance Team. The Controller implements strategy and programs to enhance Hardt's financial success. The Controller provides financial and organizational expertise in the support of Hardt's vision and goals. The Controller reports to the Vice President Finance and Administration.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Management and career development of Finance team (5 members);
  • Conduct training and performance reviews for direct reports;
  • Demonstrate and promote our values;
  • Supervise the Accounts Receivables (A/R), Accounts Payables (A/P), Logistics processes and Reception;
  • Create processes and organization to improve the Finance team efficiency;
  • Prepare monthly and annual statements in accordance with accepted accounting standards;
  • Prepare informational analyses on current processes, actual performance versus budget and prior year data;
  • Identify areas for cost reductions and operational improvements;
  • Ensure policies and procedures are in compliance with professional standards, provincial and federal regulatory requirements;
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to support the financial infrastructure;
  • Payroll administration and benefits administration;
  • Develop strong collaboration with other departments.

Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • Possess a Professional accounting designation (CPA);
  • Minimum 10 years of experience managing a finance group;
  • Knowledge of computerized information systems used in Finance and operational applications;
  • Professional written and verbal communication in both official languages (English and French);
  • Professional interpersonal skills in responsive leadership, and strict confidentiality;
  • Knowledge of EPICOR (Enterprise Resource Planning system) is an asset.

Working Conditions

Office work, in a normal office environment. Work week consists of 37.5 hours, from Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 5:00PM.
