Job Overview :

The candidate will support the financial department with various activities. Reporting to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, he/she will participate in month-end & year-end close activities to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks, including the preparation of accounts receivable reports, financial accounting schedules and financial allocation models.

What you will do:

  • Perform various financial analyses with the ability to manipulate and maintain complex and large financial models and databases.
  • Create and Distribute financial and operational reports on regular basis.
  • Active involvement in the preparation of the company's division / department budgets.
  • Maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual revised forecasts (Sales, Margins, Main P&L expenses).
  • Perform Budget / Forecast variance analysis, investigations, and documentation.
  • Prepare specific third-party reporting (EPRA, EEQ, and MMBC) and communicate the related information.
  • Active involvement in process documentation and improvement.
  • Perform general ad-hoc analysis as required.
  • Establish and maintain solid business relationships with other departments.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or equivalent.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar position
  • CPA, CFA or MBA title is an asset
  • Excellent analytical skills and high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Satisfactory knowledge of Canadian GAAP and financial statements
  • Team player and ability to collaborate efficiently
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Access skills: Must have strong Microsoft Excel skills and be comfortable working with large amount of data from multiple sources in order to build reports using advanced functions.
  • Experience with JD Edwards, Power BI and data mining tools, example Hubble would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of data mining tools
  • Effective Communication Skills (Written & Verbal) in English and French
  • Deadline driven, with the ability to adapt easily to change
