Salary Range: $78,839 - $98,534 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Status: Permanent full-time

As a key member of the financial services function, the Senior Business Analyst, TGH performs a broad scope of professional accounting activities requiring experience, professional knowledge, and application of accounting principles and practices. The Senior Business Analyst supports Patient Experience & Health Professions and assists Senior Financial Business Manager to support Chronic Kidney Disease and Multi-Organ Transplant portfolios as well as cross-function duties consistent with the job classification.


  • Performing financial management responsibilities for various programs
  • Providing sound and timely information to the management team to facilitate optimal decision making
  • Performing administrative responsibilities to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the portfolio
  • Coordinating monthly/quarterly financial reviews for program and units, as well as attending program business and hospital site finance meetings to discuss performance
  • Preparing monthly/quarterly journal entries as required
  • Reviewing program and unit level budgets and preparing forecasts
  • Supporting program staff with financial and business acumen
  • Working with managers and directors to help set up business initiatives, analyze business cases, and strategize business plans
  • Liaising with corporate finance departments for program financial management, activity reporting, case costing, and funding proposals, as well as funding reconciliations and audit requirements
  • Performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested


  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) or business degree with relevant experience
  • University degree in Business Administration or equivalent program; MBA is an asset
  • Three to Five years related experience in an accounting environment with exposure to analyze and interpret complex financial/business data
  • Experience in a healthcare environment, preferred
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and embrace challenges
  • Ability to work accurately under stressful condition and to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in business case analysis, able to translate operation situation into financial forms
  • Adheres to confidentiality policy for sensitive financial and clinical data and information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, extensive knowledge of Access and Excel, experience with SAP an asset
