An exciting career opportunity for an innovative academic leader committed to student success, who can participate in senior decision-making at Centennial College while providing strategic direction for the administrative and operations-related functions for a large department, multiple departments or programs (collectively known as a 'division') within the College through the leadership of AVPs and/or Directors.

About The Role and Leadership
As Associate Vice-President (AVP) of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, you will play a vital role in leading a central hub focused on enabling and facilitating cultural transformation and strategic decision-making, overseeing the strategy and mandate of the Global Citizenship, Education and Inclusion (GCEI) and Indigenous portfolios, and coordinating equity, diversity, anti-racism and inclusivity activity across the College.
As AVP, you will drive strategic initiatives and enabling practices (such as reflective and disruptive learning and development, dismantling of systemic inequities embedded in structures) related to equity, diversity and inclusion; Indigenization and decolonization, and anti-oppression, in order to sustain, deepen and transform the College as an agent of social change. Working in consultation with the established Global Citizenship Education and Inclusion, and Indigenous Education departments, you will oversee and address the needs of Centennial's people, students and community, and ensure a seamless connection with inclusive, equity-driven discussions and decision-making.
You will be responsible for engaging the vision, mission and values of the College Responsible for engaging the vision, mission and values of the College within the department / function and aligning the direction and strategic outcomes to operational / portfolio strategies, through inspiration, motivation and role modeling. You will also be responsible for the strategic leadership and management of administrative and operational functions for a large organizational unit exercising delegated authority for policy and programmatic decisions. You are expected to achieve goals through director and managerial colleagues; typically, multiple levels of professional and supervisory personnel. You will oversee the management of areas of responsibility. Direct teams and provide leadership to achieve goals and vision of the department, portfolio and organization. Responsible for hiring and retaining personnel, career coaching, personal development for direct reports and is accountable for the performance of employees.
As AVP Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, you develop and deliver complex, comprehensive financial analysis, business proposals, high level strategic modeling, both short and long term, and provide advice to senior leadership in decision-making. You will develop the direction of the departmental policy development for programs and administrative operations. Negotiate and influence on issues of College-wide impact that are focused on the concepts, approaches, and practices of the portfolio. May serve as senior advisor to the Vice-President on program and policy development. As AVP Equity, Diversity and Inclusion you will be accountable for strategic initiatives and enabling practices (including reflective and disruptive learning and development, dismantling of systemic inequities embedded in structures) related to equity, diversity, and inclusion; Indigenization and decolonization; and anti-oppression in order to sustain, deepen, and transform the College as an agent of social change and to engage with understanding truth though colonial deception and genocide for Reconciliation obligations as treaty citizens
You will also oversee the strategy, mandate and the GCEI and Indigenous portfolios, and coordinates equity, diversity, anti-racism and inclusivity activity across the College
