What will your typical day look like?

 

The IT Infrastructure M&A Manager will play a key role in supporting our clients’ IT initiatives throughout the M&A lifecycle. Managers will collaborate with senior leaders, manage junior practitioners, and contribute to the firm’s growth and development in a variety of ways:

  • Engagement management: Scope and plan engagements; manage engagement economics and risks; manage engagement teams; develop deliverable structure and content; ensure exceptional outcomes are achieved
  • Stakeholder management: Establish and sustain long-term relationships with top decision makers at key clients
  • Practice development and eminence: Create practical solutions and methodologies; develop “thoughtware” and “point of view” documents; support industry and eminence events sponsored by the firm
  • Talent development: Develop high performing people and teams by coaching junior practitioners; provide input into project staffing; support recruiting activities

Develop core offering expertise: Leverage expertise in M&A, Technology, and Infrastructure offerings to support sales pursuits and marketplace eminence

Sales and business development: Participate in business development activities; manage pursuit teams; support proposal development

Deloitte’s M&A Consulting practice delivers comprehensive consulting services and comprises Strategy, Operations, Finance, Human Capital, and Technology experts. Our practitioners are involved in all phases of the M&A lifecycle, including strategy, due diligence, operational readiness, pre- and post-close integration/separation planning and execution, and follow-on transformation.

As one of the most complex events in a company’s lifecycle, an M&A event demands meticulous planning and execution. Deloitte offers a range of technology IT M&A advisory services such as infrastructure blueprinting and assessment, infrastructure architecture review and design, network integration/consolidation/separation, data center optimization/consolidation/separation, solution design, cloud strategy/optimization, voice/telephony integration/separation, end-user services integration/separation, and active directory planning.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you

 

As an IT M&A Manager (Security & Infrastructure), you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree with 6+ years (or a master’s degree with 5+ years) of relevant experience in a similar role in consulting or industry
  • 2+ years of team lead or management experience
  • Relevant certifications such as CCDE, CCNA, Cloud Architect, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, PMP, ITIL, and TOGAF
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous and changing requirements
  • A willingness and ability to travel up to 80% of the time
  • Experience working in the following industries:
    • Financial services
    • Energy, resources, and industrials
    • Technology, media, and telecommunications
    • Airlines, transportation, and aerospace
    • Consumer

Experience In

  • Delivering M&A or transformation projects, accompanied by expertise across IT areas, including:
  • Network infrastructure (Voice and Data)
  • Data center and hosting
  • End-user computing
  • Authentication services
  • IT service management / service desk
  • Business continuity and disaster recovery
  • Information and cybersecurity
  • Application integration/separation/rationalization
  • IT synergies/cost reduction
  • Identifying key client issues, determining client needs, evaluating and validating analyses, and developing recommendations
  • Cross-functional project management, contingency planning, and Day 1 cutover planning and execution for technology deployments in the context of mergers, integrations, and divestitures
  • Guiding clients on key concepts for M&A engagements including, but not limited to, integration design and planning, stranded cost analyses, business continuity during transformation, synergy identification and capture, and system cutovers
