Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. Permacon is a division of Oldcastle APG and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.

We are currently looking for a Credit Agent to join our accounting team in Metcalfe (Southern Ottawa).

Under the supervision of the Credit Manager, the Credit Agent will be responsible for the following:

• Manage an account portfolio with progressive responsibilities
• Payment application, review of unapplied deductions
• Maintain extensive and rigorous records
• Review and analyze credit applications, guarantees offered and make recommendations
• Manage problematic client files as a whole
• Ensure credit rules and procedures are applied in accordance with established guidelines and applicable finance laws.
• Participate in month-end procedures
• Follow the contract termination process

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma in accounting
• Minimum of 2 years of experience related to the field of credit
• Acute sense of customer approach
• Excellent computer skills, knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and experience with an integrated management software
• Great sense of organization, autonomy, analytical skills, speed and initiative
