Chief Administrative Officer
 

Reporting to the Northern Corridor Du Nord (NCDN) Executive Committee, the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) will be a proven leader, with demonstrated experience in the areas of finance, funding application, infrastructure planning, and general administrative functions. The CAO will provide strategic direction, leadership, and guidance on the general day-to-day operations of the NCDN, while coordinating with the Executive Committee, member clubs, stakeholders, and the general public.

The successful candidate will be a proven consensus-builder with strong transformational leadership skills, and the ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders. You have implemented strategic plans, large complex initiatives, and championed new ideas that securely enable efficient operations.

conflict which would otherwise undermine organizational efforts;

  • An excellent listener, respectful, and transparent who possesses exceptional collaborative,

interpersonal and presentation skills;

  • Accomplished in building effective relationships, guiding, and managing change in a largely

volunteer environment;

  • Ability to effectively interface with staff, volunteers, partners, government, the public, and key stakeholders.
  • Work closely and efficiently with a volunteer executive, respecting the hierarchy of the organizations.
  • Make, foster and grow relationships with political, tourism and other partners to improve the operating funding opportunities for the organization.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSESS:

  • A College, or University degree in a related field, Business, Public Administration, Finance, Planning and Development, or Engineering;
  • A demonstrated commitment to professional development;
  • Extensive understanding of organized snowmobiling, exploring alternate funding sources (grants/bursaries), and demonstrated project management techniques;
  • 5+ years experience as a senior manager in a related municipal, public or private sector environment, and a successful track record working with government agencies, a board of directors, and the general public;
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive, and collaborative relationships while working with the NCDN Board of Directors, elected officials, community partners, government agencies while concurrently managing the complexities of a wide range of stakeholders.
