Core Policy Advisor
$76,500.09 - $108,100.23 annually

Join our dedicated Financial Management Branch, a well-established team of professionals focused in Victoria and Vancouver. As part of this small, close-knit team, you will collaborate with colleagues supporting work related to managing the Core Policy and Procedures Manual and other financial management activities. Your work will impact how Ministries fulfill their mandates and involve collaborating with groups, including the legal services branch and central groups. You will respond to Ministry inquiries, manage vendor complaints reviewed by the Office of the Comptroller General and identify opportunities to improve the Core Policy Framework within the province. As a Core Policy Advisor, you'll review vendor complaints, collect aged accounts receivables and advise Ministries on interpreting core policy. Your work ensures that Ministries follow core policies and promote consistent, prudent financial practices. Qualifications for this role include:

  • Degree in business administration, public administration, or equivalent.
  • Three (3) years of experience in:
    • Procurement and/or financial practice.
    • Policy development, analysis and interpretation in procurement and/or the financial field

Preference may be given to:

  • Individuals with a professional designation in procurement or accounting.
  • Individuals with experience in public procurement practice, procurement law, trade agreements, or public procurement policy research and analysis.
