Job details

Christianson Financial is growing — and we're building the team to match. We're looking for a Financial Planner who is ready to be a meaningful contributor in a firm that takes its work seriously and its people even more so. This is not a role for someone looking to maintain the status quo. We want someone who is ready to roll up their sleeves, take ownership, and help us continue delivering an exceptional experience for our clients. Who We Are Christianson Financial is a Halifax-based wealth management firm dedicated to being the destination for our clients and their families across all their financial needs. We work with intention — building trusted, long-term relationships, delivering personalized planning and investment solutions, and holding ourselves to a high standard in everything we do. Our team is small, capable, and committed. We take care of our clients the way we'd take care of family, and we bring that same care to how we work with one another. About this Role As our client base grows, we're adding a Financial Planner to work alongside our Financial Advisor on the planning relationship our clients count on. Reporting to the Financial Advisor, you will meet directly with clients to build and maintain financial plans, covering retirement, tax, estate and insurance needs. You will also play a key role in onboarding new clients as the firm grows. You bring exceptional organizational skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the kind of judgment that lets you act with confidence and communicate with clarity. Flexible, adaptable, and genuinely invested in the outcomes of the people around you — that's who we're looking for. This is a full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week position, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, based entirely on-site at our Halifax office. Occasional early morning or evening meetings, by appointment, may be required to accommodate client schedules. To apply, please send your resume and cover letter to applications@christiansonfinancial.ca with the subject line: 'Your Next Financial Planner'. Please note: ONLY CANDIDATES WHO APPLY AS NOTED ABOVE WILL BE REVIEWED.
