What You’ll Do Source and build relationships with founders, operators, investors, and startup ecosystems globally Identify and evaluate early-stage investment opportunities Develop investment theses and conduct market research and competitive analysis Prepare investment memos and support diligence Help build sourcing pipelines, tools, and internal investment processes Represent 16VC at global events and within startup communities Requirements 2+ years in VC, accelerator, angel network, or investment role Strong understanding of startups and venture ecosystems Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills Strong network-building ability Self-driven and comfortable in a fast-moving, early-stage environment Willingness to travel globally Location On-site in Toronto Global travel required
What you’ll do
The role involves sourcing and evaluating early-stage investment opportunities while building relationships with founders and investors globally. The analyst will develop investment theses, conduct market research, and prepare investment memos to support diligence.
Requirements
Candidates need at least 2 years of experience in venture capital, accelerators, or angel networks. Strong analytical skills, a robust network-building ability, and a willingness to travel globally are required.
